Microsoft are bring us an Inside Xbox showcase as part of Gamescom on Monday 19 August 2019, as they’re teasing some “exciting” news related to Age of Empires.
The long standing Age of Empires franchise dates back all the way to 1997, making it over two decades old now, and is still one of the most played game series.
Currently, there’s a couple of projects in the works, bringing us some great new content.
The first and most exciting is the Age of Empires 4 teaser trailer made a year ago, which is currently in development by Relic who made other games such as Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. Other than the teaser trailer, we don’t know much else so getting some more info on the game is very exciting indeed.
The other possible update, would be that of the Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, which is bringing us with stunning 4K Ultra HD graphics, a new and fully remastered soundtrack, as well as four new civilizations and three new campaigns, including one called The Last Khans.
Exiting times indeed!
